It would actually make more sense to use foam in the decks rather than the hulls. There are far more fittings and penetrations, and fresh water is much more destructive to wood than seawater is.

Must be the time of year, we launched Jan 25, eight years ago.

Depending on the design it might be necessary to adjust the position of a window. Not really a big deal.

The advantages outweigh that by a big margin, IMO.
