Re: Easy 10.5 SS

Dean a suggestion that I followed to get a bigger bottom step, and to add curves would be to add overhangs to the plate that forms your bottom step top. So your hulls stay the same shape just the top is rounded. Depending on the thickness of that top plate, say its 25mm ply, you could easily get awa...

Re: Sarah 41

I curved mine. Its more work sure, but I think curved look nicer, more production boat and less home build.

Re: Schionning 12.3

I made the mistake of breathing in there without my mask on. The Jotun looks great on but I reckon it has some nasty stuff in it.

Up until this.post by me took the last post in this thread you accounted for one in three last posts (which no doubt you will reclaim because you just cant help yourself). Why do you think that is? And you accuse me of knowing i...

Re: Sarah 41

ANyway, the standard of finish has little effect on either cheap, or fast, or comfortable... Well I am not sure standard of finish, when we are talking of cosmetic appearance, and that is 99% of the purpose of fairing, isnt contributing greatly to cost inflation. I would say most people would spend...

[quote] BTW I read the Zen post where you and Allan were sparing like heavyweight boxers. Quite entertaining. [quote] Funnier still is Al and I seem to have changed sides. I read on cruisers forum where Allan posted that (and I am paraphrasing here) a friend on a sister Oram seemed to hav...

Re: Sarah 41

I dont think its solar tech we need the quantum leap in. Its battery tech. Hopefully super capicitors will be that leap. MIT is working on commercializing a phone/tablet/laptop super capacitor the size of a stick of gum that goes from flat to full in minutes and would keep any of those charged betwe...
