Re: SV

Nice sail. 55 miles in 5 hours. Really only should have had one reef in, but the reefing line needed replacing, and I was too lazy...

Re: Easy 10.5 SS

Our swim ladder is on the inboard side, due to us having kick up rudders. It's removable, on keyhole mounting plates. Works well.

Re: Easy 10.5 SS

I doubt if there's even half a knot of speed loss. It was the noise people complained about. On the Fusion, they are quite noisy.

With a gelcoated boat, cutting them off and restoring the finish would be a big job. One guy I know still seems keen to do it though.

Re: Easy 10.5 SS

A few of the people I've met with Fusions have seriously considered cutting those overhangs off.

They can be noisy under sail and at anchor and because they're always wet, they grow algae on the underside.

Re: Sarah 41

From comments you've made in another thread, it seems curved steps really appeal to you.

In that case, go for it! Sure, it'll be a bit more work, but hopefully you'll enjoy the results for years.

Re: Sarah 41

You use it pretty much everywhere!

More specifically, you want to use it especially on areas you'll glass over again. Remove the peelply and you have a perfectly clean, textured surface ready to glass straight onto.

It can be a hassle to use on big areas though.

Re: Sarah 41

Are you using peelply? It can save you a lot of work.

Re: Finally Does It

Nice to get a proper look at the boat David but a pity you had to go to the trouble of removing the cover... Still, better to be safe than sorry I guess. I'm waiting on word about how my charter boat fared at Able Point Marina. I'm hoping no news is good news! :) Mike Hope so Mike! We've got friend...
