Re: New to the forum

I've been exploring the hardwood world for several years now. Can always use tips!! Currently working on a cri...

Re: Sarah 41

Also there are different types of marine plywood such as Fir,Hydrotek Meranti/Keruing,Sapele and Okoume. Which works best and can I use different types f...

Re: sarah sail drive

So so jealous of you right now. Although I know it will be a long and rewarding process it will still be at least 4 years before I'm at that stage. Congratulations on a fine build. I am just starting my Sarah #41. Thanks for keeping me motivated.

Re: Sarah electric drive??

Thanks Groper, that answers a lot of questions. I will start looking for these inverters. Do you run the 9.9 Yami's ? And is that enough to motor anywhere you go? I will be sailing and cruising the PNW.

Re: Sarah electric drive??

This is for the 12 meter'ish cat sailors. Realistically how much do you motor or motor sail and on average for how long?

Re: Sarah electric drive??

Thanks Darren, I'm new to all this, wind, diesel, electric etc. The Sarah designer suggests two 9.9 Yamaha so consequently I have to carry gasoline anyway . I am wondering how big of a generator and fuel tank I will need to be useful. Here is a link to a EP I have been looking at. Now I have more qu...
