Welcome back and good to hear you are on the mend. Bring on that 3rd coat...and here's to your health and build.

So glad to hear you are on the mend! Love to see the progress! :D
I'm just getting ready to plank or sheet my first hull.
Did you glass both sides of your bridge deck?

Thanks Beav & Choachdaz for your encouragement.

Beav I only glassed the bottom surface as the top surface will be inside the boat. I will be sealing it with 2 coats of epoxy as I will for internal surfaces.

Looking forward to the marriage of the hulls now.

Hi Beav
Yes I am a Hendricks fan. My boats name has come from that and my football team the Fremantle Dockers play in purple and the fans are called the purple haze. There is also the cat influence i.e. Purr. Have a lovely Christmas. Jimbo

That's awesome Jumbo.
Any progress on the boat??
I live about 3 hours from Seattle and there is a tribute to Jimmy Hendrix called the Hendrix experience. It's like a museum of music. Would you be really cool if you could come see it.

Cheers Dean

Hi Dean
Yes I spent the weekend filling and sanding ready for final primer coat. Should hopefully get it done before Christmas ready for turning.
I have attached photos.

Hi Jimbo,
I was wondering what filler you used for your final filling during the fairing?

Hi Dean
I used a honey consistency epoxy and micro fibre mix with a very very small amount of red ochre powder.
I have used other colours as well so you can see where you need to sand the paint covers these easily once sanded.

Its been a while since I posted last so took some more photos to show my progress. Bridgedeck was painted and turned. Both hulls have been levelled and I have started my trusses. I also had an interlude in January where I sailed down to Abbey in Geographe bay where I took a couple of shots.
