Well done.

There's something very satisfying about finally being able to stand on the bridgedeck. Gives you an entirely different perspective on the project have taken on.

Where is everyone?? I know there are still builders out there. Love to see progress. And the information on this blog is fantastic but there is new technology out there. Anyone have updates?? Launchs??
Started working on floors and births.
I was struggling with floor heights because I’ve heard a lot of chatter about keeping the floor level. And are builders draining every sealed compartment to the bilge with a drain hole in every frame or leaving the forward compartment with an inspection hatch and checking regularly?

I kept my floor level all the way from frame 9 through to frame 2 and all my under floor chambers are fibre glassed and fully sealed with the intention they are water tight compartments. there are no common limber holes through any bulkheads. only inspection point is above transducer fwd of the mini keel in starboard hull.

Looking good Dean.

When you come to plan where you intend to run your cables / conduits, behind cupboards, under floors before you seal them up etc, all I can say is whenever you think "that should be heaps"...you don't. Plan for more than you think.

Hey James!!!! It was worth the year I spent on it. Everyone that comes to see that shop or boat asks the same question, how you gonna get it out when the door is only 8 feet wide (3 meters). I tell them it’s between me and Gibbs.

Schionnings have completely independently sealed under sole buoyancy chambers split down the middle and sealed baffles between the larger spans so that a meter is the longest length and half hull widths the widest. The idea being even if you holed half of them down one side of a hull there would still be enough reserve buoyancy that you could safely sail to land to repair. I too only have one chamber with an inspection port in each hull into which all of the thru hulls are fitted. No bilge pumps permanently fitted other than my shower sump pumps which are the same area my thru hulls are fitted so that should any leak the sump pump will pump it out (via my gravity out above water holding tanks).
