Redland City marina

Post by DA » Mon Sep 23, 2013 7:45 am

I used Redland city marina at thornlands,
Access is via Eprapah creek just north of Victoria point / Coochiemudlo island,
They cater for all types of vessels , and have travel lift , trailer , and the Sealift.
For large multihull and piece of mind you cannot go past the Sealift .(Only 2 in QLD- Redland and boatworx coomera)
Sealift haul out ~$500 ( Boatworx at coomera was slightly cheaper , but it would of meant another day travel south for me )
Bottom clean~$120
Environment levy ~$ 40
Hard stand ~ $42. / day
With power and water.
On site showers and toilets , for those who stay in their boats while doing the work .

Positives:
Maintenance marina management.
Sealift
Quality Trade services available
30 minute walk to shopping CBD( 10 minute taxi ride)

Negatives:
Eprapah creek is shallow, all haul outs /ins are done either side of the high tide.

Would I use this haul out facility again? Yes definitely and spend more time discovering Morton bay before and after haul out.
