I have been looking at what Mick did with his Schionning and considering something similar with our Easy Sarah.
Mick provided a few more details about how he did it, and I've been talking to a local truck driver with the same equipment too. But what worries me is how to protect the rudders during the unload. I've considered building a pair of trestles to go under the back, behind the rudders, to carry the weight and hold the rudders off the sand, but is it really worth the effort?
We can beach launch in the river 20km from home, or have the truck haul an extra 60km to get to the closest slipway. I'm trying to balance the risk of damage compared to the cost of the escorted load. After a couple of years of blood and sweat, I'm thinking the money might be easier than the worry.
