Bryan from School's Out found these solar panels. 100 Watt weighs less than 2 kg. Better than 20% efficiency too. Dearer than normal glass and aluminium panels, but not ridiculously so:

Good find mate... could be very useful in alot of situations.

Some things to be aware of tho, as the heat in the panel increases, the efficiency drops away considerably. So with these type of panels, id say they will heat up more and loose more efficiency if they are mounted flat on something - like the deck or cabin top etc - in such that they do not have the air gap underneath which helps to keep the PV cells cool.

And just for a price reference, std glass / aluminium frame panels are now $190 per 250W from Haymans Electrical wholesalers Australia wide... Much heavier tho...
